In recent years, there has been growing awareness of the negative effects of patients being bedridden, and opportunities for patient mobilization have been increasing, regardless of whether the patient is in the acute phase, recovery phase, or home care phase of treatment. However, even when healthcare facilities wish to promote mobilization, they can be faced with many difficulties, such as being unable to gain the understanding of “staff” or “other professions”. As a measure for resolving such problems, every year a theme is selected and a conference on that theme held in June. Calls for applications for general presentations, panel discussions, and Twitter Q&A sessions are made in March every year.
